Avery Simpson is a young actor and singer-songwriter born in Ardrossan, Alberta, and now residing in Ontario. As a musician, she has performed and headlined across Canada and the United States.
Avery is a seasoned festival performer with a songwriter's heart. She can hold a listening room with just a guitar and her voice, and bring real energy to a main stage.
She is an award-winning songwriter and vocalist, with titles including Big Valley Jamboree 2019 Junior Winner, 2023 K-Day finalist, and Alberta's Top Contemporary Vocalist award, among many more. She has even headlined a show in Las Vegas at the Virgin Hotels.
Avery is also an actress, starring in many projects debuting on the Canadian film festival scene. One of her most recent performances, in Aftermath, debuted this year at the TIFF Lightbox for the MDFF Selects: Student Film Showcase. Whether it's acting or songwriting, Avery's main goal is to make an impact through her stories.

Avery got her start singing pop, but the songs kept pulling her somewhere else: toward the acoustic guitar, the open road and the storytelling she grew up with on the Prairies.
Her releases on Spotify trace that shift, moving from polished pop into a warmer folk-country sound. She's now in the studio recording a full country project, her most personal and honest music yet, written from the same small-town roots that shaped her.
